Mom & I have been hitting up a lot of rummage sales & finding a bunch of baby girl clothes, blankets, etc; Matt's mom has been finding a bunch of fun stuff too!

Matt's parents bought us the crib for the baby - it should be here within the next couple of weeks. It's one of the cribs that will convert into a toddler bed, which will be very useful! There's a photo of it below.

My parents bought us the carseat/stroller travel system for the aby, as well as a Fisher Price aquarium swing, which is adorable! Those are pictured below too.

And I finally decided on the crib bedding set; we found it pretty cheap on ebay, so that should be here this week too! Once that gets here, then we're going to figure out which colors we will be painting the nursery...many fun things to come!

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336990183178115234" style="DISPLAY: block; It's weird, once we knew that, it finally felt like it was 'real'...so now we're actually talking about names, buying baby sleepers, figuring out how to decorate the extra bedroom upstairs, etc. Fun stuff! Here's a picture of me at 20-21 weeks. I'm definitely in maternity clothes now; and it seems like each day is a struggle to find something that is dressy enough to wear to work, but doesn't look completely ridiculous - ha ha!

It's been crazy around here with all the flooding in the Fargo-Moorhead area. We are completely safe living where we are; however the F-M area is pretty much in a state of emergency. All non-essential businesses are closed (Matt has been home since Thursday; and will be home until at least next Wednesday). All schools and universities were closed this past week; and now they are all closed thru this upcoming Friday. The school I teach at has remained open, but we have bussed hundreds of students each day to go and sandbag. I'm assuming we'll be open as usual next week also; but the weather forecast shows 5-8 inches on Monday afternoon/Tuesday...will just have to wait and see what happens.

13 Weeks & 15 Weeks Pics

Not much has changed between my 13week & 15week photos. Pay NO ATTENTION to my hair in both pics...I hadn't even begun to start working on it yet those mornings!! My pants are definitely getting tighter (as well as my shirts - ha ha!). But I thought I would start taking pictures maybe every few weeks. I don't anticipate to take another one until around 20 weeks. But here's a few to start things off...and in July/August, I can look back at this and see how "small" I started off - ha!

2nd Doctor's Appt

Just this past week (on Thursday) we had our 2nd Doctor's Appt for the baby. Things went really well! We met the ob/gyn and he seems really confident, easy to get along with, and just an all around good doctor. So Matt & I were happy that we got to meet him. All of my bloodwork came out good and we listened to the baby's heartbeat; that was clipping along at 153bpm. I only gained 1 lb between my last appt and this one...considering how I feel like I've just been eating so much lately (& usually very salty, probably not good for me foods!), that was a welcome surprise! I'm not getting too excited though, since I'm sure by my next appt I will have gained quite a bit! The doctor said I was measuring right on track at about 15.5 weeks and since it's already Saturday, that means by now I'm about 16 weeks. In 4 more weeks, we'll be at the halfway point!! Looking forward to being 1/2-way thru...however there is so much to do before the beginning of August. Good thing I'm done teaching by the end of May and can focus on baby-related-stuff for the months of June/July. Our next appt is scheduled for the end of March; that's our "big ultrasound" appt where we will find out if it's a boy or a girl! I'm very excietd because my aunt Cindy is an ultrasound tech at the clinic we go to, and she will be the one to give me the u/s! Fun!! It will be nice to find out if it's a boy or a girl; we've been trying to purchase things for the baby (blankets, some clothes); but it is definitely easier purchasing those things once you know if it's a boy or a girl!
